1. Who runs this site

cyberwareness.com is operated by AkolagTech ("AkolagTech", "we", "us"). Cyberwareness is our security awareness training brand. The training itself is delivered on the Skillermatic platform, also operated by AkolagTech.

2. What these terms cover

These terms cover this marketing website only: its pages, articles, the free Cyber Risk Quick Check, and the contact form. Paid training is covered by a separate order or subscription agreement and by the Skillermatic terms. If those documents conflict with these terms, those documents win for the paid service.

3. Information on this site

Our articles, checklists and tools are general education to help you understand cybersecurity risks. They are not legal, regulatory or professional security advice for your specific situation. Where we mention laws or regulators such as the NDPA, NDPC, CBN, the FTC Safeguards Rule or HIPAA, we describe how our training can help you meet training expectations. Completing our training does not by itself make an organization compliant, and you remain responsible for your own compliance program.

4. Free Cyber Risk Quick Check

The Quick Check gives a rough, self-reported score to start a conversation. It is not an audit or a security assessment, and you should not rely on it as one.

5. Acceptable use

When using this site you agree not to:

• break, overload or try to get around the security of the site or its forms;
• send spam, false information or harmful code through our forms;
• copy large parts of the site or use automated tools to scrape it, except normal search engine indexing;
• use the site for anything unlawful.

6. Our content

The text, course outlines, designs, logos and the Cyberwareness and Skillermatic names belong to AkolagTech. You may read, print and share links to our pages for your own or your team's learning. You may not resell our content or present it as your own without our written permission.

7. Practice phishing examples

Example phishing messages on this site are fictional and clearly labelled. They use made-up brand names and contain no working malicious links. Do not reuse them to deceive real people.

8. Links to other sites

We may link to regulators, standards bodies and other websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.

9. No warranty

We work to keep this site accurate and available, but it is provided "as is". We do not promise it will always be error-free or available.

10. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, AkolagTech is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this free website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

11. Privacy

Our privacy notice explains how we handle personal data from this site.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, except where the law of your own country gives you rights that cannot be taken away, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
